A native of the East coast, Yuwei originally came from a corporate background after graduating from UC Santa Barbara. In 20I3, she launched her brand Yuwei Designs, inspired by empowered women. She is currently based in Southern California where she hand sketches each design. Each design is handcrafted and handmade on the beautiful and sacred island of Bali. Yuwei’s travels to Bali first began in 2011, where she was mystified by its beauty and simplicity. These visits helped her unearth her deep desire to design. She gave in to that desire and Bali became the natural choice of where she wanted her jewelry made. Her distinctive look blends the masculine and feminine — bold, geometric lines meet rose petal-shaped delicateness, creating natural balance.  The result is daring yet wearable designs for women everywhere.

In 2014, Yuwei launched an exclusive range of jewelry to promote and support the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UN Trust Fund) and initiatives to prevent and end violence against women and girls. An active advocate, Yuwei Lee has sought to engage the fashion world on the issue and she hopes people will use Yuwei Designs to connect with the goals of ensuring respect for women and promoting the life chances of women and girls around the world.
